17-Minute Air-Fryer Timer Strength Circuit
Use one air-fryer timer window for a beginner bodyweight strength circuit performed safely away from the kitchen.
An air-fryer timer can create a convenient reminder to move, but exercise should happen in a separate, clear area away from heat, cords, food, and wet floors. This 17-minute bodyweight circuit uses a sturdy chair, a wall, and a mat. It is intended for beginners who want a short strength session while a meal cooks safely without supervision needs.
Set the air fryer correctly, then leave the kitchen only if the appliance instructions and your recipe allow it. Choose a living area where you can hear the timer. Use a firm non-rolling chair on a level surface and clear pets, toys, and clutter from the floor. Warm up for three minutes with easy marching, shoulder rolls, ankle circles, and shallow hip hinges.
Complete two rounds of 12 chair squats, 10 wall push-ups, 12 good mornings, and 10 bird dogs per side. Rest about 30 seconds between exercises and 45 seconds between rounds. Move slowly enough to keep your breathing steady and your technique consistent.
For chair squats, stand just in front of the seat, set your feet comfortably, and reach your hips backward. Touch the chair lightly rather than dropping onto it, then press through your feet to stand. Keep your knees tracking with your toes. For wall push-ups, place your hands at chest height, walk your feet back, and keep your body in one line as you bend and extend your elbows.
For good mornings, place your hands lightly behind your head or across your chest. Soften your knees, push your hips backward, and keep your spine long. Stop when you feel gentle tension in your hamstrings, then stand tall without leaning back. For bird dogs, begin on hands and knees, brace gently, and extend the opposite arm and leg. Keep your hips level and use a smaller reach if balance is difficult.
Cool down for three minutes with slow walking, calm breathing, and comfortable stretches for your calves, chest, and hips. Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or unusual shortness of breath, and seek appropriate medical guidance.
When the timer sounds, finish the current repetition safely before returning to the kitchen. Never rush across the room or exercise beside a hot appliance. Repeat this routine on two or three nonconsecutive days if recovery feels good. Progress by adding one repetition or slowing the lowering phase, changing only one variable at a time.
