Blueberry Cauliflower Yogurt Smoothie Prep Kit

Build a two-serving prep kit with blueberries and cooked cauliflower, keeping yogurt and milk separate until each smoothie is blended.

A smoothie prep kit can include a cooked vegetable without making the final drink taste like a bowl of raw florets. This blueberry version uses a modest amount of fully cooked, cooled cauliflower, paired with fruit, plain yogurt, and milk. The preparation step is organized around two servings, but each smoothie is blended separately. That gives you a useful freezer component while keeping the dairy additions easy to adjust at serving time. For two kits, measure 1 1/2 cups blueberries and 1/2 cup cooked, cooled cauliflower florets. Divide them evenly so each container holds 3/4 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup cauliflower. At blending time, add 3/4 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract to one kit. The dairy and vanilla quantities are for one smoothie. Have a little cold water available for a possible thickness adjustment. Start with plain cauliflower and cook it until tender by steaming or simmering. Drain it well, cool it safely, and refrigerate it until chilled before measuring. If using frozen cauliflower, cook it according to the package instructions first; do not assume every frozen vegetable is ready to eat without cooking. Avoid florets prepared with garlic, cheese sauce, or another savory seasoning, since those flavors do not belong in this recipe. Wash fresh blueberries and dry them gently, or use frozen berries. Portion the chilled cauliflower and blueberries into two freezer-safe containers. Keep the layer shallow enough that the contents will be manageable when frozen. Label each container with the recipe name, preparation date, and the yogurt, milk, and vanilla additions. Freeze promptly. The label should describe what is inside and what is missing, making the kit easier to use without reopening a recipe page. When making one smoothie, put the milk and yogurt into the blender first. Add the vanilla and one prepared pack. If the frozen pieces are stuck together, loosen them in the refrigerator or separate them safely before blending. Blend until the cauliflower pieces disappear into the berry mixture, stopping the motor before scraping the sides. Add water one tablespoon at a time only if necessary. The finished drink should be led by blueberry flavor, with small berry-skin flecks remaining. Taste the first serving before deciding to prepare a larger batch of kits. A small trial prevents filling the freezer with a combination you do not enjoy. If you prefer less cauliflower, reduce that amount next time and note the change on the label. Serve the smoothie as a snack or alongside other food according to your needs. Cover and refrigerate any saved portion promptly, and stir before drinking. Meal prep is useful when it reduces effort and waste; it does not require rigid portions or a claim that a hidden vegetable changes the effect of the whole meal. #BlueberryPrepKit #SmoothieMealPrep #CookedCauliflower #BlendWhenReady
