Assemble Greek Chicken, Lentil and Beet Bowls
Season and cook chicken, roast beets, assemble four bowls with lentils and fresh vegetables, then spoon on lemon-herb yogurt.
These Greek-inspired bowls combine cooked chicken, green lentils, roasted beets, cucumber, tomatoes, greens, and lemon-herb yogurt. The batch makes four bowls. The illustration shows a practical assembly plan rather than a required ratio. Appetite, activity, side dishes, health, and the rest of the day should guide the amount a person eats.
Gather one and one-half pounds boneless skinless chicken, three cups cooked green lentils, three medium beets, two cups chopped cucumber, two cups halved tomatoes, four cups greens, one tablespoon olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, black pepper, and a small pinch of salt. For the sauce, stir one cup plain yogurt with lemon zest, dill, parsley, and a splash of water.
Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 220 degrees Celsius. Peel or scrub the beets, cut them into even cubes, toss with a little oil, and roast until tender. Keep beet juice away from clothing and porous surfaces. Season the chicken with oil, lemon, oregano, and pepper. Cook it in a skillet or on a separate tray until safely done, then rest before slicing.
Use a clean food thermometer to verify the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature. Do not place cooked chicken on the plate that held it raw. Divide greens, lentils, beets, cucumber, and tomatoes among four bowls. Add sliced chicken and spoon on the yogurt sauce just before serving. Bread, rice, potatoes, or fruit can be added according to appetite.
Milk is a major allergen, and chicken requires careful handling. A dairy-free plain yogurt may work if its flavor suits the sauce. A vegetarian adaptation can use a tested cooked protein food, though its preparation and nutrient profile will differ. People with kidney disease, diabetes, allergies, or other nutrition-sensitive conditions should use individualized guidance for ingredients and portions.
Cool chicken, lentils, and beets promptly in shallow containers. Refrigerate components for three to four days, keeping the yogurt sauce cold. Pack cucumbers and greens separately if a crisper texture is preferred. Reheat chicken, lentils, and beets until steaming, or eat them cold only when safely cooled and stored. Clean hands, knives, boards, and counters after handling raw poultry.
African Mango Plus is attached only as the closest existing weight-management product in the catalog. It is optional, is not part of the bowls, and is not claimed to improve protein use or cause fat loss. This meal offers a mix of poultry, legumes, vegetables, and sauce. Adjust the balance, sides, and quantity for individual needs and qualified medical nutrition advice.
